Terms of Service

1.1 Booking and Deposits

A non-refundable deposit of 30% is required to secure your booking. The remaining balance is due 7 days before the scheduled event or session.

1.2 Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event will receive a 50% refund of the deposit. Cancellations made less than 30 days before the event will forfeit the entire deposit. We reserve the right to cancel services due to unforeseen circumstances, in which case a full refund will be provided.

1.3 Rescheduling

Rescheduling requests made more than 14 days before the event may be accommodated subject to availability. One free reschedule is permitted; additional rescheduling requests may incur a $150 fee.

2.1 Copyright Ownership

All photographs remain the intellectual property of Steve Watts Photography. We retain full copyright ownership of all images created during your session or event.

2.2 Usage Rights

Clients receive a personal, non-commercial license to use the delivered images for personal use, including social media sharing and printing for personal enjoyment. Commercial use requires written permission and may incur additional licensing fees.

2.3 Portfolio and Marketing

We reserve the right to use any images from your session for portfolio, marketing, advertising, or promotional purposes unless you specifically opt out in writing at the time of booking.

3.1 Delivery Timeline

• Portrait sessions: 2-3 weeks
• Event photography: 3-4 weeks
• Wedding photography: 6-8 weeks

These timelines are estimates and may vary during peak season. Sneak peek images may be provided within 48-72 hours of the event.

3.2 Delivery Method

Final images will be delivered via a secure online gallery with download capabilities. Images will be available for download for 90 days after delivery. Extended storage may be available for an additional fee.

Clients are responsible for:

• Providing accurate contact information and event details
• Obtaining necessary permissions for photography at the venue
• Coordinating timing and schedule to allow adequate photography time
• Ensuring subjects are prepared and available at the agreed upon times
• Providing a safe working environment for the photographer

5.1 Equipment Failure

While we use professional backup equipment and maintain redundancy, we cannot be held liable for images lost due to equipment failure, card corruption, or other technical issues beyond our control.

5.2 Force Majeure

We are not liable for failure to perform services due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: natural disasters, illness, accidents, transportation issues, or venue restrictions.

5.3 Limitation of Liability

Our total liability shall not exceed the total amount paid for services. We are not responsible for missed shots due to client timeline constraints, venue restrictions, or other factors outside our control.

You may not use this website for any unlawful purpose or in any way that could damage, disable, or impair the website. You agree not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the website or any systems or networks connected to it.

All content on this website, including images, text, and design elements, is protected by copyright and may not be reproduced without written permission.

We reserve the right to modify these terms at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting to this page. Your continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the modified terms.

These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Indiana, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms or our services shall be resolved in the courts of St. Joseph County, Indiana.
